Kullu, also named as the 'Valley of Gods', is a beautiful district in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The valley earned its name as it is believed that it had once been home to many Hindu Gods, Goddesses, and Devine souls. Situated at a height of 1230 feet from the banks of Beas river, it is known for its magnificent natural surroundings.

Major attractions of Kullu

Raghunath temple



 The Raghunath Temple dedicated to Hindu deity Rama is one of the major attractions in Temples of Kullu. The building of the temple is a perfect blend of pyramid and Pahari style of architecture.

Jagannathi Devi temple



 The Jagannath Devi temple is ancient and is believed to be constructed about 1500 years ago. Images of Goddess Durga can be seen on the walls. A 90-minute trek has to be undertaken before you can visit this temple.

Pandoh dam 


This dam is constructed on the Beas river at an altitude of 76 m. These hydroelectric power generating dams fulfill the electricity needs of Kullu and Manali.

If you are fond of adventures and want to have some amazing thrilling experience than this is the right place. Kullu is also known for its adventurous sports such as Trekking,mountaineering, hiking, and river rafting.

If you are interested in flora and fauna then you must visit The Great Himalayan National Park. Here you can see many different species of animals as well as birds and insects. Moreover, the view of this park is just out of words you will just get back in the lap of nature.

 This place is an ideal summer destination, the weather of Kullu always remains pleasant during summers so people who are tired of scorching heat can always plan coming here for a vacation. However, winters are quite freezing as it experiences snowfall. But you can enjoy snow skiing here in winter. The best time to visit this place is from March to October.
Here you can also enjoy other activities like river rafting, rock climbing, hiking, and trekking.

 One must visit this place as it is one of the best places to enjoy your vacations with your family and loved ones.
