SAPUTARA - THE HILLSTATION IN GUJARAT

Saputara is a hill town in Gujarat state. It is the only hill station in Gujarat and that is why quite famous. People visit here to take a break from there busy life with family and friends.
I have visited this place a few years ago and its quite beautiful and serene place, Its kind of picnic spot so mostly crowded with the public but even then you can always enjoy the places and beautiful views of the valleys that this place offers.

 There are many places to visit in Saputara. I'll tell you about some of the places which I had visited. Near the bus stop, you can have your morning breakfast. There are many stalls of poha and I think you must try poha there they are really good at making it. Then you can walk along and there is a kind of small market or a place for shopping the local things like jelly chocolates, strawberries, etc.

Saputara lake



Saputara lake is the USP of Saputara hill station. The lake offers many activities like you can go for boating. There are paddle boats, rowboats you can choose as per your mood and there are other recreational activities which you can surely try.

 Now coming from the lakeside you'll find the stalls of Corn, Maggie, and chai which you can have if you are hungry.

Sunrise point



 If you have a 2-day trip then you must surely visit the sunset point which is also known as Valley viewpoint. This valley gives you a beautiful entire view of Saputara Valley along with the villages and forests around the hill station.

Lake Garden


 Lake garden is located exactly next to the Saputara lake. Garden has no entry fees. You can relax here and children can enjoy the slides and swings there. Entire garden is covered with a lush green lawn.

The Step Garden 



The Step garden is also very close to Saputara lake. The garden is small but maintained well. There are many beautiful varieties of flowers here and the top view of the garden is lovely.

Table Point




The table point has many adventure and fun activities. If you are an adventure lover then you must visit this point and enjoy all those activities. During Monsoon this place has different beauty.You can enjoy horse riding, bike activities, Camel rides, and much more.

Saputara Tribal Museum



This museum is a great attempt to introduce people with the heritage of Dang's native tribe. Here you can find miniatures made showing the local life of the tribe, paintings, and many interesting things.

Rose Garden



 Rose garden as its name defines has lots of varieties of Roses. Though when I visited this place I wasn't that much amazed but it's quite a good place to visit if you are a nature lover.

Sunset Point



 Sunset point is the main attraction of Saputara. It is also known as Gandhi Shikhar.This point gives you an underlining view of the sunset that one should never miss. You can reach this place through ropeway or walking at 1 km but I prefer if you have time then you must try ropeway also. You can get almost the entire view from that.
When I have visited this place. I remembered the weather suddenly changed and it started raining and I must say the actual beauty of this place is in Monsoon. The chilled weather and mesmerizing views and cold breeze just fill up your heart.

 You can also visit some nearby places from Saputara like Waghai botanical garden, Gira falls, and Vasda national park. These places are also good spots for family picnic and outings.

DANDI-A PLACE WITH HISTORICAL IMPORTANCE

Dandi Beach Dandi beach is one of the prominent beaches located in Dandi village in Navsari district which is in Gujarat. As I am basically from Gujarat I have lots of memories of my childhood having fun on this beach. Dandi is one of the cleanest beaches of the Arabian Sea and it holds great importance in the history of India. Mahatma Gandhi led the salt satyagraha from Sabarmati Ashram which is in Ahmedabad to Dandi and this is the place where Mahatma Gandhi broke the salt law.
